Support for Foster Parents |
The founders of Hope’s Closet are foster parents that observed a cycle of brokenness as they watched families repeatedly lose child after child. They wanted to make a difference, break the cycle of brokenness and be a catalyst for change to restore families, when possible. They asked themselves how they would like to be supported as foster parents and developed a program that would support foster families.
INSPIRE Mom Night Out On the FIRST Friday of every month, Hope’s Closet provides complimentary dinner, dessert, and a relaxed atmosphere for Moms to connect with other Moms. We want to build a community of support and encouragement that is refreshing for foster and foster-adoptive moms. Click here to sign up each month!
INSPIRE Dad Night Out The dads get together for a night out quarterly. The dads typically hang out eating wings or pizza. We encourage them to build a community of support as well. Check the calendar. These event dates vary.
EQUIP Training We offer a training group where we discuss a foster care and adoptive topics. We are able to offer one and a half hours of continuing education (CE) credit, snack, and childcare is provided. This is a great group where both parents may attend together to continue building that relational community as well as learning more about being intentional foster parents. EQUIP meets the FOURTH Tuesday each month at Center Pointe Christian Church, from 6-8pm.
