Join ImpACT

ImpACT is our model of how to care for children in Foster care and the families who care for them. It is a great way to help the foster community without being an actual foster parent. Being part of ImpACT allows the foster parents to feel
supported, and the kids find themselves with the added benefit of “extended family.” The children have consistent people in their lives that are familiar, fun, and safe. Not everyone is called to foster or adopt, But EVERYONE can get involved.

They will be in direct contact with the foster families and will communicate with them about their needs for the project.

Family Helper
A Family Helper works directly with foster families, in the foster home, to serve and support them. They will develop a personal relationship with the family and be a point person for support in their lives. Some Family Helpers will be working more closely with the foster parents and others will be working more with the foster children. Family Helpers should be sensitive to the needs of the children and family, trying their best to understand that these children have been affected by trauma.

Not only do the foster parents feel supported by our community, the precious kids find themselves with the added benefit of “extended family.” They have consistent people in their lives that are familiar, fun, and safe.  Most kids love a big cheering section at their ballgames and recitals. Foster kids are no different!

Not everyone is called to foster or adopt, but EVERYONE can get involved.
