Hope’s Closet exists to enrich the lives of families that are impacted by children’s services. Through our clothing closet, foster parent support groups, foster parent recruitment and training, and birthday club program we endeavor to restore broken families.
Hope's Closet desires to build intentional relationships to restore broken families as we LOVE displaced children and their families, PROVIDE encouragement, support, and material needs, and INSPIRE hope in a loving God.
The founders of Hope’s Closet are foster parents who observed a cycle of brokenness, watching families repeatedly lose child after child. We wanted to make a difference, break the cycle of brokenness and be a catalyst for change to restore families, when possible. We asked ourselves how we would like to be supported as foster parents and developed a program to support foster families, while training them how to positively impact the biological family.
Today, Hope’s Closet occupies the second floor of a historic building in the heart of Hamilton, OH. With a completely volunteer staff, overseen by the Executive Director, Sarah Coleman, Hope’s Closet supports the families affiliated with a number of private and public children’s service agencies throughout the area.
